Pizza Hut , the company that brought us the original stuffed crust pizza, has just kicked it up a serious notch with hot dog stuffed crust pizza. While hot dog stuffed crust pizza sounds like a truly American invention, however this meat-stuffed pizza is only available abroad. It has just been introduced in the UK but as it turns out this innovative pizza has been available in Thailand and Japan for years. Amazingly, it seems like other countries have managed to out-Americanize the Americans - creators of the fast food chains and delivery pizza. Food-wise, there’s nothing quite so American as a hot dog, or a fast food chain that delivers pizza so its surprising that these items were combined abroad rather than here.
Not sure how curious I would be to try it since I am not a big fan of Hot Dogs. However I am a huge fan of Pizza and since I have been dieting and eating better, I limit my take out pizza consumption to just one a month because of the carbs and unhealthy fats (thankfully I can make a mean & lean homemade pizza). Although, my first thoughts about this pizza was are you serious? Upon further thought, even with my dietary restrictions and not being that into hotdogs, I think it looks interesting (there is even on with a mustard drizzle which I love) and if it was here in the states I would try it as part of my monthly pizza splurge (altough I prefer Domino’s or Round Table or Local parlors to Pizza Hut). The Boyf, although he claims otherwise would be ALL OVER this. He is quite a greedy one.
